The National Women's Political Caucus is co-sponsoring the 2018 St. Louis Women's March.
St. Louis will host a second annual Women’s March on January 20th, 2018, titled the St. Louis Women’s March for Truth. The march will begin at 10:00 a.m. in front of Union Station on Market Street, and will head one mile down Market towards the Old St. Louis County Courthouse. The march will end with a rally at Luther Ely Smith Park. Over 40 speakers will attend the event and speak at two stages set up at different points in the march, one at the midway point and the other in Luther Ely Smith Park.
The St. Louis Women’s March for Truth’s mission is committed to inspiring women to speak their truth; and through education, activism, and advocacy to help effect change in their own lives and the lives of their neighbors and communities.
Speakers for the event will be women from many different professions and walks of life, from politicians to clergy members to health care providers. Missouri elected officials, including St. Louis City Treasurer Tishaura Jones, Senator Jamilah Nasheed, and Senator Jill Schupp, plan to attend and speak at the event.
So far, 36 organizations have co-sponsored the event, including reproductive rights organizations, labor unions, community groups, and faith organizations; a full list of sponsors is available on the website (stlwomensmarch.com). To ensure the march is as inclusive as possible, several precautions have been taken to aid people with disabilities. There will be special viewing areas, ADA-compliant restrooms, and an ASL interpreter at both stages. Additionally, there will be voter registration opportunities throughout the event.Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AMUnion Station on Market Street to Luther Ely Smith Park0 RSVPs
